Jaxon is the seventh son of a seventh son. He was also an apprentice wizard - until he made a huge blunder and was banished from his village by Wizard Argus.

A year later, while traveling with a very troublesome young dragon who has befriended him, he finds notices offering a large reward for him and returns to find out who is looking for him. It is the old wizard, who desperately needs his help.

Someone is stealing all the magic from the world and if it isn’t fixed soon the world will begin to fall apart. Jaxon goes with Wizard Argus, Sef (a new apprentice), and Tess - the wizard’s other apprentice - to the vale of the wizards to see the Wizard Council. Here they find the Head of the Council, Kramar, is the one stealing the magic.

In another scintillating fantasy adventure the children and the dragon go in search of magical copper sand which will cancel the spell and return magic to the world. Will they find the Desert Witch and make it in time to Dragon’s Breath, the great volcano, in time to stop Karamar completing his spell?
